Whiffler Road and Aylsham Road, NR3

Whiffler Road is the strangest and best fitness address in Norwich. Aylsham Road adds The Iron Culture at number 313, OtherFolk Studio at the Aylsham Road Business Park and PureGym Norwich Aylsham Road on Copenhagen Way at £19.99 a month with no joining fee. Tower Fitness on Page Road, at 5.0 from 223 reviews, is the most reviewed fight gym in the city. Phoenix Gym at St Marys Works, 4.8 from 267, £29.99 a month, 5.30am to midnight, anchors the southern end of NR3.

Why here

Cheap industrial units with high ceilings and parking, three kilometres from the market, on the ring road. That is the entire explanation, and it has produced a genuine fitness district that no chain marketing will ever tell you about. Mile Cross and New Catton sit inside the ring road in NR3, with the Norman Centre on Bignold Road running the council Xtra Mile gym at £19.99 a month or £4.90 a visit, and Sloughbottom Park hosting its own parkrun.

Catton parkrun at Catton Park on Oak Lane NR6 7DB is the other free Saturday option up here. Old Catton and Hellesdon are the residential neighbours, and Hellesdon has its own page.
